These songs were written by Amos Mann
from as early as 1995 through to 2009.
Leyton so generously offered to record
this album in the old Radio New Zealand
studios, Albany St. Dunedin, in July 2009.
Leyton took care of all the recording,
mixing and producing, and had excellent
ideas for the arrangements.
While recording, Leyton asked, “If you
had just won a million dollars, what would
you be doing right now?”, Amos replied,
“I would be doing this with you.”
Amos sung and played the instruments,
with Leyton adding some samples and
soundscapes. Martin Kean deftly and
patiently designed many versions of the
cover until Amos finally decided on just
the right feel. All photos were taken with a
Lomo SuperSampler. Included is a portrait
of Amos wearing one of his folding straw
hats, taken by Donna Glasson in Roxburgh
2010. The horse photos were taken by
Amos in St Kilda, Dunedin. Enjoy:-)
